Date:  Tuesday 18th January 2022

Time:  9.30am - 12pm

Venue:  Shooters Hill College, SE18 4LD

KS1 PE Skills Session (Choice of practical involvement or observing)

Staff participating - There will be practical teaching element involved in this session, which take place in the sports hall.  This will involve activities and skill-related drills, so please dress in appropriate clothing.

Staff observing – There will be opportunities provided to observe practice, conditioned tasks and develop an understanding of teaching points involved in the activity.  There will be no physical participation required if you are observing, just an opportunity to watch and take notes.

PE and School Sport Training, Updates and Information

Information to support NQT's / ECT's to understand the PE National Curriculum in greater depth to support their delivery of high quality PE, school sport and physical activity.

GSSP Modelled GYMNASTICS LESSON
 

GSSP KS2 Gymnastics Teaching Workshop - Modelled Lesson‚Äč

Date:  Tuesday 8th February 2022

Time:  9.30am – 11.30am

Venue:  Plumcroft Primary School (Plum Lane site)

Info: A modelled KS2 lesson to help develop teachers knowledge and understanding of individual, pair and group gymnastics at KS2.  Supporting documents provided in the form of a lesson plan and SoW

Applicants:  GSSP members only (staff training event).  No limit on number of staff schools wish to send (please complete a separate online booking for each staff member attending)

Equipment:  Please wear sports clothing if you would like to join in with some practical elements within the lesson.  Please bring notepad and pen as the workshop will mainly involve observing and taking notes.

FREE ONLINE PRIMARY TEACHER TRAINING COURSE - TENNIS
 

All teachers who complete the free primary teacher training course will receive an individual  resource pack and a £250 voucher (limited to one per school) to spend on equipment, or ten hours of team teaching support from an LTA Accredited Coach.

You can access the competition resources as well as all the other resources by visiting: www.lta.org.uk/schools and when registering, select ‘School Sports Network User’ from the drop-down.

The course is designed to take 1-1.5 hours to complete. Teachers work at their own pace.
