GSSP PE LEAD TEACHER COURSE (vintners BOWLING EXPERIENCE)
Date: Friday 26th September 2025
Time: 9.30am (Registration); 10am - 3pm
Venue: Vintners Lanes, Wallers Way (Off Greenwich High Road), London SE10 8JA
Included: Refreshments and lunch (please email if you have any specific dietary requirements / food allergies)

AM (10am-12pm) – Introduction to Vintners Bowling Experience (Choice of practical involvement or observing)
Staff participating – Practical experience which will take place as individuals and within teams in the bowling lanes. This will involve introduction to the venue plus a bowling experience and its availability, as well as the GSSP discounts available to members for a revisit. Please dress in appropriate clothing and footwear!
Staff observing – There will be opportunities provided to observe activities and develop an understanding of the benefits that the centre has to offer GSSP schools (all ages and abilities). There will be no physical participation required if you are observing, just an opportunity to watch and take notes.
Lunch (12 – 12.45pm) – Food provided, including vegan / vegetarian options. Please email if you have any specific dietary requirements.
PM (12.45pm – 2.30pm) – PE and School Sport Training, Updates and Information

GSSP workshop - developing confidence to deliver ks2 pe
Date: Tuesday 14th October
Time: 1.30 – 3.30pm (1pm arrival)
Venue: Shooters Hill College, SE18 4LD
Practical (Choice of practical involvement or observing)
Staff participating - There will be a practical teaching element involved in this session, which take place in the sports hall. This will involve low-intensity activities and skill-related drills, so please dress in appropriate clothing.
Staff observing – There will be opportunities provided to observe practice / conditioned tasks and develop an understanding of delivering a PE session. There will be no physical participation required if you are observing, just an opportunity to watch and take notes.
Theory – Introducing PE & Top Tips
Information to support staff delivering PE to help them to understand the KS2 National Curriculum in greater depth and sharing some top tips to support their delivery of high-quality PE, school sport and physical activity.

Candidates booked onto the workshop will be listed on a register at Shooters Hill College front gate, so please ensure you have completed the booking form before arrival.

gSSP Y3 MODELLED DANCE LESSON
Date: Thursday 23rd October 2025
Time: 9am – 10am
Venue: Plumcroft Primary School (Vincent Road)
Info: A modelled KS2 lesson to help develop teacher’s knowledge and understanding of teaching and structuring a dance lesson including managing space, behaviours. Supporting documents provided in the form of a lesson plan and SoW.
Applicants: GSSP members only (staff training event). No limit on number of staff schools wish to send (please complete a separate online booking for each staff member attending)
Equipment: Please wear sports clothing if you would like to join in with some practical elements within the lesson. Please bring notepad and pen as the session will mainly involve observing and taking notes
gssp own school cpd Opportunities
GSSP members have the opportunity to book CPD at their own school in gymnastics, dance and tennis as part of their GSSP membership. These opportunities are available at no additional cost once you are a GSSP member.

PRIMARY TEACHER TRAINING COURSE - TENNIS
All teachers who complete the free primary teacher training course will receive an individual resource pack and a £250 voucher (limited to one per school) to spend on equipment, or ten hours of team teaching support from an LTA Accredited Coach.
The course is designed to take 1-1.5 hours and can be run at your own school at a time that suits you and the course deliverer (Twist Fizz).
