Jr. NBA 3v3 will host a brand-new Primary School Tournament, building on the successful collaboration between the NBA and London Marathon Events to get more children playing basketball.

Here’s some key dates for your diary plus details on how to register. Don’t miss out, sign up your school to take part in this exciting event!

The tournament is for London primary schools – mixed teams made up of pupils from Years 5 and 6. All teams must have at least 2 girls with 1 girl on court at all times September – October 2026 Registration window for both the Primary and Secondary School Tournaments is 14 September to 30 October.

Free Teacher resources to download which include a ‘How to video for Teachers and Teacher lesson plans’ – will be sent to all schools taking part February 2027.

Borough competitions will take place between November 2026 and Friday 27 March 2027 May 2027. 

Finals are broken down into North, South, Central, East and West, the winners from each Borough will play in either South and West competitions or Central,

East and North competitions South and West London: 18 May - Brixton Recreation Centre Central, East & North London: 20 May - Score Centre June 2027 Primary school Finals held in June at UEL Sports Dock- date TBC

IMPORTANT - Only the winners of the Greenwich School Games event will be able to attend the LYG finals and your school must have completed the form (link above) and win the Greenwich School Games event to qualify,
