On Thursday 7th December 2023, Greenwich Primary schools participated in a netball competition at Woolwich Polytechnic School For Girls.

The competition was planned by SGOs, Woolwich Poly student sports leaders and PE staff, with a special thanks to Miss Mattison-Weekes and the WPG PE dept for helping to run these events!

What those in attendance had to say….

“It been lovely to see our children enjoying competing against other schools and we are now looking to set-up a netball after-school club”
-Teaching Assistant

“Today has been lots of fun and my favourite part was scoring”
-Year 6 Pupil

“Wonderful event and the sports leaders have been fantastic”

Each competition recognises achievement at events through a SCHOOL GAMES VALUE AWARD.  This was shown in abundance by all schools at the event!

This particular competition focused on school games value of TEAMWORK.
