On Tuesday 2nd December 2025, Greenwich Primary schools participated in a netball festival at Woolwich Polytechnic School For Girls.
The competition was planned by SGOs, Woolwich Poly student sports leaders and PE staff, with a special thanks to Miss Mattison-Weekes and the WPG PE dept for helping to run these events!
What those in attendance had to say….
“One of our children mentioned being anxious about going to a sports event as he is less confident in PE and he has had such a great time and feels much more confident now”
-Teaching Assistant
“The best part was shooting and everything else”
-Year 2 Pupil
“Our children have enjoyed playing lots of different netball games and I've learnt a lot of new ideas for PE too”
-Teacher
Each competition recognises achievement at events through a SCHOOL GAMES VALUE AWARD. This was shown in abundance by all schools at the event!
